Josh Duhamel stars as Danny McCoy, head of surveillance at "Sin City's" hottest resort and casino — The Montecito, in NBC's hit drama "Las Vegas."

Born in Minot, North Dakota, Duhamel played football at Minot State University where he was studying biology with the intention of going to dental school. However, the aspiring dentist decided to forgo medical school and moved to Los Angeles.

After a few months, Duhamel landed his first acting job playing the title character in Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray." Shortly after the shoot, he moved to New York City to join the cast of "All My Children," playing a role that garnered him three Daytime Emmy nominations (he won in 2002).

Duhamel will be seen this July in Michael Bay's "Transformers: The Movie" and recently starred in John Stockwell's thriller "Turistas" which was filmed in Brazil. Duhamel has also starred in the title role in DreamWork's "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton," directed by Robert Luketic.

Duhamel currently resides in Los Angeles.
