James Lesure

JAMES LESURE

as Mike Cannon

In the flashy world of Las Vegas, nothing is what it seems. Such is the case with surveillance team member Mike Cannon played by actor James Lesure on NBC's hit series "Las Vegas."

In addition to handsome looks and magnetic charm, Lesure has a firmly grounded personality. His path to Hollywood began with a few unexpected turns. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, he served in the Air Force Academy before attending the University of Southern California where he received his B.F.A. in theater.

During his time at USC, he had the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England. While there, Lesure performed in productions of "Hair" and "The Island." He also has worked in a professional theater company in Los Angeles, where he played the role of Macduff in "Macbeth."

Named one of the six hottest males on television, Lesure made his series debut on "For Your Love" as attorney Mel Ellis, co-starring actress Holly Robinson-Pete. He has also appeared in recurring roles on "Alias" and "The Division." His other television credits include guest-starring roles on "NYPD Blue," "Mad About You," "Half & Half," "Martin" and "The Burning Zone."

His expanding film career includes various independent film productions and the feature films "The Ring Two" and "Crimson Tide," starring Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman.

Lesure, recently voted the Most Valuable Player of the NBAE League, is a sports enthusiast and participates in several charitable sporting events throughout the year.

He currently resides in Los Angeles. His birthday is September 21.
