Matt Pyken as Executive Producer |
 |
Matt Pyken serves as both an executive producer and writer on NBC's
hit drama, "Las Vegas," but arrives in Sin City via real world stops
in New York and Washington D.C.
Pyken was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Los Angeles. He
attended Claremont McKenna College, receiving bachelor's degrees in
both Political Science and Literature. After college, Pyken headed to
Washington, where he worked in the White House, then as a speechwriter
and political consultant. After a six-year stint in politics, Pyken
returned to Los Angeles and took a detour into the video game
business, where he wrote the award winning "National Lampoon's Blind
Date" and "Fox Hunt." When the latter was optioned as a TV series, Pyken
co-wrote the "Fox Hunt" pilot, finding himself in the TV biz, where he
then landed a staff writing gig on the Dick Wolf/John August
collaboration, "D.C."
Pyken's other writing credits include the pilots "Skin" and "The
Fixer," and producing and writing stints on NBC's New York-based
"Deadline," and the award-winning "Queer as Folk."
Matt lives in Los Angeles with his wife Dyanne.
