Kim Newton as Executive Producer |
 |
Kim Newton serves as executive producer and writer, beginning her third season on the series. Newton was raised in both Los Angeles and Houston. She attended Texas State University receiving a bachelor's degree in Journalism/Advertising. She worked as a copywriter for J. Walter Thompson in Dallas for three years before moving to Los Angeles with the hopes of becoming a comedy writer. As luck would have it, Kim quickly secured a coveted position as a writers' assistant on David Kelley's first hit show, "Picket Fences," where she was mentored by Ann Donahue of CSI fame. Her focus quickly switched to the one-hour drama.
Kim began her career with a speculative script sold to "Chicago Hope," then staffed on "The X-Files." Her credits include "The Fugitive," "Fastlane," and "Cold Case" among others.
Kim resides in Los Angeles with her son, Oscar.
