as Executive Producer
Justin Falvey serves as co-head of DreamWorks Television, the network television production arm of DreamWorks SKG where he oversees all series development and longform programming for the studio.
In addition to serving as executive producer on “Las Vegas,” the NBC drama from DreamWorks Television, which is currently in production on season four. Falvey serves as co-executive producer on the upcoming reality program “On The Lot” from executive producer Steven Spielberg and on “The Contender II” (both co-productions with Mark Burnett Productions). In the longform arena, Falvey is co-executive producer on DreamWorks’ limited series for the SciFi channel, “Nine Lives,” which is to go into production in 2007. He is also an executive producer on the Comedy Central half-hour series “Dog Bites Man” and the critically acclaimed drama “Rescue Me,” from DreamWorks Television, which recently received a pick-up for a fourth season.
Recently, Falvey served as a co-executive producer on “Into the West,” an epic mini-series for TNT from executive producer Steven Spielberg that received 16 Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe nomination for “Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.”
Falvey was named to his current post in January 2002. Prior to his promotion, he served as a television development and programming executive with DreamWorks Television, a position he held since joining the company in 1995. In that capacity, Falvey supervised the development of, and current programming on, numerous shows including “Freaks and Geeks” (the critically acclaimed NBC series from executive producer Judd Apatow). Falvey also supervised the creation and development of “The Job” (the highly acclaimed comedy series co-created by Emmy Award-winner Peter Tolan and Denis Leary) and “Undeclared” on the Fox Network.
Prior to joining DreamWorks, Falvey started in the entertainment business at International Creative Management, as an assistant in the Television Literary Department, before working in development/current programming at NBC.
Before entering the entertainment business, Falvey began his career as an English teacher in Japan and Spain. Falvey graduated from Georgetown University in 1990 with a B.S./B.A.
