Josh Duhamel stars as Danny McCoy, the protégé of “Sin City’s” most respected surveillance guru Ed Deline (James Caan) on NBC’s hit drama “Las Vegas.”
Born in Minot, North Dakota, Duhamel played football at Minot State University where he was studying biology with the intention of going to dental school. However, the aspiring dentist decided to forgo medical school and moved to Los Angeles.
After a few months, Duhamel landed his first acting job playing the title character in Oscar Wilde’s “The Picture of Dorian Gray.” Shortly after the shoot, he moved to New York City to join the cast of “All My Children,” playing a role that garnered him three Daytime Emmy nominations (he won in 2002).
Currently, Duhamel is filming Michael Bay’s “Transformers: The Movie” and can be seen in the upcoming John Stockwell thriller “Turistas,” which was filmed in Brazil. Duhamel has also starred in the title role in DreamWork’s “Win a Date with Tad Hamilton,” directed by Robert Luketic.
Duhamel currently resides in Los Angeles.
