Matt Pyken started out as a political consultant and speechwriter in Washington, D.C., but switched careers when he realized he never wanted to wear a business suit - ever again.
Pyken returned to his native Los Angeles and began writing first for video games, where he wrote the mega-hit titles "National Lampoon's Blind Date" and "Fox Hunt," before moving on to television. He has written numerous network pilots, including "Skin," "The Fixer" and "Red State/Blue State." He has also produced and written for seven network television series, including "Queer as Folk" and five seasons of NBC's "Las Vegas."
