Scott Porter portrays Jason Street, the embattled star quarterback who was paralyzed for life in the pilot episode of the first season. Falling from grace into a dizzying whirl of emotions after the injury, Street grappled with his new life after injury and came out of it as a true hero and a man. Now an assistant coach of the Dillon Panthers, he is still a solid part of his former team.
Since relocating to New York City in 2005, Porter has starred in two off-Broadway productions: "Altar Boyz" as Matthew (Drama League Ensemble Cast Nominee) and the award-winning "Toxic Audio" (Drama Desk Award, Most Unique Theatrical Experience).
In 2008, Porter was featured in Andy and Larry Wachowski's live-action "Speed Racer" film as Rex Racer. He also had the male lead in the film "Prom Night," opposite Brittany Snow. His other film credits include "Music and Lyrics By...," starring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore, and the independent feature "Descent," starring Rosario Dawson.
Porter's birthday is July 14. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, he counts that city and Orlando, as his off-season homes.
