Jesse Plemons portrays Landry Clarke in the NBC television drama "Friday Night Lights." Landry is not on the Panther's football team; he is brought into the drama of the game through his best friend and back-up quarterback, Matt Saracen (Zach Gilford).
Plemons' feature-film credits include: "Like Mike," with Bow Wow and Jonathan Lipnicki; "Children on their Birthdays," adapted from the critically acclaimed short story by Truman Capote; as well as "When Zachary Beaver Came to Town;" "The Failures;" "All the Pretty Horses;" and "Varsity Blues." "Children on their Birthdays" marked the directorial debut of the Tony Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Mark Medoff ("Children of a Lesser God").
In television, Plemons most recently earned critical praise portraying a young teen struggling to accept his facial disfigurement in the hit drama "Grey's Anatomy." Additional television credits include guest-starring roles on "Huff," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "The Lyons Den," "Judging Amy," and "The Guardian."
While his career has taken him to the heights of Hollywood, Plemons' feet are firmly planted on the grounds of his Mart, Texas, home that he shares with his family. When he is not busy filming, he enjoys playing several sports and returning to his Texas roots to rope and ride. His birthday is April 2.
