Eleicea braved a special Halloween Fear Factor to win $50,000! Here is her exclusive Fear Factor.com interview.
You told Joe you wanted to be on Fear Factor to prove you weren't a wuss...do you feel like you succeeded?
Yes, I think I definitely proved that I am a lot stronger mentally and
physically than my family and friends would have thought. Also, I proved to
myself that although I can be a wuss at times, when you set your mind to do
something, anything really is possible, even if it means eating bugs to get
there.
What do you think your family's reaction to the show will be?
I think it will be a mixture of shock, disbelief and ecstatic. Anyone
who knows me understands my fear of bugs and they would never think I could
strategize like I did, so for them to see the stunts I completed will leave
them in awe.
Which of the three stunts was most challenging to you?
I would have to say the second stunt where I had to eat 24 stink beetles
was definitely the most challenging! The thought of touching the beetles
was enough to make me walk away but I knew I had to complete the stunt. So
mentally I had to fight with myself to keep going and get through it. It
was so hard!!!
What did the stink beetles taste like -- and was your breath really stinky or was Joe just kidding around?
I couldn't even describe the taste or the smell of the beetles. Not
only were they crunching in my mouth but the ooze that was coming out of
them was absolutely rancid. The smell in the air was so disgusting so I can
only imagine how bad my breath stunk. There was no escaping it so I'm sure
Joe was serious about the stench.
Who among the other five players do you think was your biggest competition?
George was the biggest competition because he was so revved up and you could
just tell that he was willing to go to any lengths to win. He was really
determined to win, not only for himself but for the children that he worked
for. I was very intimidated by that but I knew I had to focus and play the
game as hard as he was willing to.
Was Lexi as hyper in person as she appeared on the show?
When I first met Lexi she did not seem as hyper as she was once the
cameras were actually on. I guess that was her way of trying to stay in the
game. She was definitely starting to get to me.
During the final stunt, after George got a really quick time getting the pig hearts, were you worried that you might not be able to pull it off?
At first I was a little nervous but I knew that I had to get the job
done and stay focused. I called my time of 55 seconds and just went as fast
as I possibly could. I don't even remember what I was thinking during the
stunt other than you have to beat him so I did my best and it paid off.
What did that sludgy eyeball concoction taste and smell like?
The smell wasn't nearly as bad as the texture was. The eyeballs were
slimy and squishy so having that feeling on my lips and in my mouth was
gross. The worst part was going down for a pig heart and coming up with an
eyeball. Biting into the hearts was just as bad because they were tough and
having to sink my teeth into them was disgusting. I get chills thinking of
it!!!!
Did you have a strategy or technique that you learned watching the others?
I figured that I could move a majority of the eyeballs with my head and
dive in for the hearts, which I tried to do. But once you get going you do
whatever comes to mind first because you want nothing more than to get
through the stunt quickly.
Do you have anything special planned for your Halloween Fear Factor riches? First and foremost I am going to pay off some of my debt and school
loans. Then I'll play with the rest and most likely take a vacation with my
friends and go somewhere tropical to get away from this cold New England
weather.
