Fear Factor Episode 432 Original Airdate: May 3rd, 2004

The special, Second Chance edition of Fear Factor brought back six players who had been eliminated on previous episodes to compete for redemption and another shot at $50,000. The loveable losers met Joe at the docks, where he warned them that because they had all been on the show before, the stunts would be kicked up a couple notches. The first stunt involved a long beam that was lifted into the air by two helicopters, one at each end. (A first in aviation history, by the way.) Players would have to make their way back and forth across the unsteady beam, transferring flags from one end to the other. The more time that passed, the more the beam would sway. The two men and two women who transferred the most flags the quickest would move on. The other two would become two-time losers and be eliminated.

Alyssa appeared on the first season of Fear Factor where she just couldn't bring herself to finish eating a bull testicle. Alyssa moved slowly along the beam as it swayed back and forth over the water. As she tried to carry her fifth flag across the beam, she lost her balance and fell into the water below. She ended with 4 flags and a time of 1:55.6. Next up was Mandy, who had lost the $50,000 on her first Fear Factor appearance by just a few seconds. Up on the beam, Mandy moved quickly transferring flags. After moving 5 flags, Mandy could have jumped into the water to automatically advance, but she pressed on and transferred the 6th and final flag for a total time of 3:55.5. Then it was Gina's turn. Gina, who gagged multiple times while eating a water buffalo penis on her first Fear Factor outing, had a hard time keeping her balance on the beam. She fell to her knees several times. But Gina managed to transfer 5 flags, earning her place in the second stunt and sending Alyssa home.

First up for the men was Carmen, who was responsible for the worst wipeout in the history of Fear Factor when he attempted to jump from one speedboat to another and slammed his body into the target boat and bounced off. Up on the beam, Carmen moved slowly, but managed to get all 6 flags in 7:09.2. Michael "Fudge" Thompson, who had lost in his previous Fear Factor outing when he wasted time showing off, was all business on the beam and moved quickly. But he dropped a flag into the water and was only able to transfer 5 flags in 3:02.5. Eric, who had insisted on wearing loafers during his past Fear Factor experience, was back and agreed to wear the proper foot attire this time. On the beam, Eric shuffled along and transferred 4 flags. He fell to his knees once, but got up. Then he fell again and couldn't hold on, tumbling down into the water, eliminating himself in the process.

The four remaining players met Joe at a diner where the menu included a blended fly and maggot shake. Players would have to transfer a blended maggot mixture with their mouths into a shake glass filled with live flies. Once the glass was full, players would then have to drink the entire contents of the glass. The player who did this the slowest would be eliminated. Carmen went first. As Fudge yelled and Gina dry heaved, Carmen worked quickly and finished the shake in 2:19.4. Then he promptly threw up. Next was Mandy, who also had to listen to Fudge talk and Gina gag. Gina tried to psych Mandy out but it didn't work and Mandy finished her shake in 5:19.5. Gina, who gagged during everyone else's turn, was up next. She suffered through filling the glass with liquefied maggots but just couldn't force any of the shake down. After 12 brutal minutes, Gina quit and was automatically eliminated. Next was Fudge, who also gagged and had a very hard time drinking the shake. Finally, he finished.

For their final stunt, players would have to drive a car over a ramp, flipping the car onto its side and jumping it over a moving train. The player who launched the furthest would win. Fudge was pumped and said that he lives for speed. He got into the car, gunned it and hit the ramp on target. He jumped the train and flew 54' 6". Next was Mandy. She never let up on the gas and also hit the ramp well, just edging out Fudge with a distance of 55' 9". While Fudge did his walk of shame, Carmen geared up for his turn. His car flew after it hit the ramp and he passed Mandy's mark by a large margin. After he got out of the car, Joe declared Carmen the Fear Factor Second Chance Champion!
