Bobby stepped up first for the men and can you believe he made the exact same mistake Melinda did? He forgot to save the final flag and eliminated himself from competition! Since Josh and Jamison had automatically both advanced, Joe threw in a little something to make their competition more interesting. The guy who finished the stunt with the fastest time would win an extra thousand bucks. It's unclear whether knowing that he was already on to the next round slowed Jamison down, or the dizzying heights scared him to a slow crawl…but he was SLOW. His final time: 6:07. Josh seemed prime to win an easy thousand bucks…and he did.
Vegas. Night Two. Players took the tram over to the Excalibur hotel. Joe unveiled a tank filled with over 500 hungry piranhas! At the bottom of the tank was an array of pig kidneys. Guess how each player would retrieve seven of the pig kidneys? By climbing into the tank of flesh-eating fish and sticking their mouths down to the bottom, that's how. Josh was not thrilled to be going first. He struggled with maneuvering within the tank and had a final time of 2:57. Lark was next and had a hard time getting the kidneys in her mouth. Her final time was 3:20, which made Josh feel a little better. Krisandra was worried that the first two players had agitated the fish, but she raced through the challenge. Krisandra's final time: 1:24. Jamison had trouble even getting in the water, but managed a final time of 2:21. Lark was heading home. The others were heading to the roulette table.
An enthusiastic crowd of onlookers greeted the three remaining players, as did a table full of African cave-dwelling spiders! The creatures looked like a cross between a spider, a crab and Daddy longlegs bug. For each spider a player ate he or she would receive two roulette chips. After eating the spiders, players would place their chips on the board and Joe would spin the roulette wheel. If a player's chip was on the lucky number, that player would win a brand-new Mazda RX-8! Krisandra was first and screamed when she pointed at the spider she would be eating. By the time she actually picked the spider up (many minutes later), she was in tears. She finally grabbed one and bit into it, only to immediately spit it out. The second attempt worked better and Krisandra managed to keep it down! Unbelievably, she even ate a second one. Joe tried to talk her into a third one, but she hesitated. She must have really wanted the car, because she eventually went for it, bringing her final chip total to six. Jamison wanted the car more. He powered down six spiders and made sure to play to the crowd. His 12 chips took up a third of the board. Josh was in the hotspot. He matched Jamison's take for 12 chips. With all the chips in place, Joe spun the wheel, but the winner would have to wait! The episode was to be continued…
