Dog attack stunts have always been a Fear Factor favorite and at this point we’ve turned biting people with dogs into a science. So when Jeanette and Todd came to compete in our junkyard stunt dog attack stunt they knew they would be facing one of the most difficult and brutal attack stunts in the history of the show as they recount in this weeks Tale Of Fear.
FEAR FACTOR: What were your thoughts coming into this stunt?
JEANETTE: I've seen Curly on the Christmas show and I've seen people quit because of Curly. So I know that it's going to be hard and scary.
TODD: These dogs are scary as hell, there's no question
about that. Um, I, uh, right, I mean, uh, small or big, uh, they're coming after you. I mean that, that's the bottom line. They really you know, they're taking no prisoners. Their, their, their job is to come get us so,
uh, a little scary obviously. Um, you know you’ve got the protective, uh, gear on but again that's going to add some, some weight to you.
FEAR FACTOR: Tell us about the first attack?
TODD: Well we're running back over to the car, um, and Jeanette has the hubcap in her, in her, in her possession and as we get to the other side of the car the dog, I feel it grab on and clench onto my calf and it took me down. It takes me down.
FEAR FACTOR: Did it hurt?
TODD: Hell yeah, it was an incredible pain in my calf. He grabbed right on through the suit. I could feel it pinch the calf and at that point I was in survival mode.
JEANETTE: It's scary just having seen those teeth and just knowing that these attack dogs are attack dogs and that's what they doing, their job. No matter what they're not going to let go until they get their mission over.
FEAR FACTOR: So what happened during the second scenario?
JEANETTE: I'm in the bus and all I'm thinking is I have to get that hubcap and when I look up I see the black dog with the teeth and I'm thinking oh no here we go and he grabs onto me and I'm thinking oh great, if he dragged Todd down what’s he going to do to me? And then all of a sudden I know Curly's coming. All I kept thinking about was just trying to get the task done and it was just so hard and scary and tough. But I wasn't going to quit no matter what.
