A nasty sink, a cupboard of snakes, mouthfuls of live scorpions and a bottle of rotten milk. These are just some of the challenges that awaited mother and son team Joanna and Rob Jackson in the Fear Factor kitchen. It was a horrific mix of ghastly surprises that they relive in this week’s Tale of Fear.
FEAR FACTOR: What were you the most nervous of going into this stunt?
JOANNA: I was pretty terrified of the whole stunt. After seeing the first team get bitten by the snakes, I was a little concerned about sticking my hand in that cupboard. But even sticking my head in the sink was difficult. I was so nervous that I kept having to go back and forth into the sink. I had a bit of a panic. I kept trying and trying and I just couldn't find the drain. But I kept going back in because I didn't want to disappoint Rob.
ROB: It really took her a long time. We ate up a lot of our time right there in the beginning because she wouldn't go into that sink.
JOANNA: I really did get a second wind once I got through the sink portion. I thought we could make up some time and my adrenalin really started going and I was doing the best I could.
ROB: I just kept cheering her on and she really picked up the pace with the snakes and the scorpions.
FEAR FACTOR: What was the rotten milk like?
JOANNA: I would never have done any of this if it weren't for Rob. He really pushed me through the whole thing. It was a nightmare.
ROB: It was horrible. The second that stuff hits your lips you can't help but gag. I just tried to take up as big of a mouthful as I could before spitting it into the bottle.
