Tess Bousquet was locked in an underground cage and covered with thousands of cockroaches. In order to save her, Jordan Griska had to escape from a torture chair by biting his way through hanging cow intestines. It was a race against the clock as this couple chomped their way through this disgusting stunt as they recount in this week’s Tale of Fear.
FEAR FACTOR: So where you nervous going into this stunt?
TESS: A little bit. I really didn’t want to be locked in there with all those roaches but it is Fear Factor and you're going to do what you have to do. I just had to lie there and rely on Jordan to get me out. I was just singing a song in my head over and over again just so I could breathe and relax.
JORDAN: I told her to just think about cotton candy. I felt confident that we could beat the other couple. When I was getting strapped into the chair I was just trying to focus on the task before me.
FEAR FACTOR: What was it like biting into those intestines?
JORDAN: After I bit into the first intestine, the intestinal juice spewed all over the inside of my mouth and made me gag. So I created a strategy of biting closer to the top of the intestines so there’d be less juice to explode into my mouth as I chewed through the intestines. It smelled awful. It was definitely the foulest thing I have ever put in my mouth. It’s like someone sprayed a can of stink in your mouth.
FEAR FACTOR: Where you close to puking?
JORDAN: Oh yeah! The insides of those intestines had little leftovers from whatever the animal had been eating. A little corn, some oats maybe, just gross and wrong.
FEAR FACTOR: Tess, what was it like down in the roaches?
TESS: I couldn’t see anything. I could just feel them all over me. It felt the roaches crawling inside everywhere they could possibly get. I could feel them biting on my foot, on my face, scratching with their claws, hissing. It was horrific.
