FEAR FACTOR COCKTAIL

Best Friends Amanda & Amy had a hard time agreeing on which disgusting Fear Factor Cocktail was worse. Was it Amanda's Spider Cider with blended worms and a live Sun Spider or was it Amy's Banana Slug Smoothie with whole Banana Slugs served in a putrid puree of their own filth? They could however agree on one thing, neither one of them wanted one more for the road.

FEAR FACTOR: Amanda, you went straight for the Spider in your Spider Cider, how did you manage to get it down?

AMANDA DOMINICK: At first I was hesitant to even pick it up, it was alive. But then I thought, "I'm going to have to eat it. Why am I freakin' out about holding it?" It took me a minute to decide which end I wanted to bite, I couldn't figure out which end was the head and if it had claws or not. I picked it up, and took one big bite and it just exploded in my mouth. The texture was absolutely disgusting. It was so juicy and disgusting.

FEAR FACTOR: How would you describe the taste?

AMANDA DOMINICK: I've never tasted anything like it. It had these hairy legs that were just impossible to chew. It was just creepy and gross. Once I was done with the spider I thought the worst was over, until I took a sip of the cider.

FEAR FACTOR: Was the cider actually worse than the spider?

AMANDA DOMINICK: Way worse. I couldn't actually drink it because it was so thick. I had to take it out with my fingers and eat it. As soon as it hit the back of my mouth, I thought I was going to lose it. Imagine the worst taste you can think of and times that by 100 and you still won't be close to how bad it was. I plugged my nose to try and smother the taste, and it didn't work. Nothing worked.

FEAR FACTOR: Amy, you had the Banana Slug Smoothie, do you think that was worse than Amanda's Spider Cider?

AMY GLOVER: Way worse. The smoothie was repulsive. After I took the first sip, as I pulled the glass away and could feel the slug slime hanging from my lips to the glass. It had this horrible lingering aftertaste. The more I drank, the closer I got to the slugs at the bottom. I think that's why I took so long. Ultimately, I had to swallow them and that was so gross, I could feel their slimy bodies in my mouth, it was horrible. Way worse than any Spider Cider, way worse than anything anyone else had to deal with.
