With elimination on the line Andre and Amirah had to keep control of their stomachs and suck down a disgusting Fear Factor shake made from raw duck embryos before hitting a buzzer that would send them flying off of the top of high-rise building. It was a stomach-churning stunt that they recount here in this week's tale of fear.
FEAR FACTOR: What did you think when you first saw the shake you were going to have to slurp?
AMIRAH: It was smelling so bad it was just disgusting. And then when you think about the little duck embryos, it was just horrible.
ANDRE: The whole embryo thing doesn't bother me, but the smell actually got to me and usually I'm not effected by that. I'm a picky eater, but usually I can just down anything. And I started to kinda wonder. "Man, I don't know if I'm gonna be able to do this.
AMIRAH:
We knew this was gonna be tough.
ANDRE: I actually felt a little queasy before beginning the stunt.
AMIRAH: It's also a lot harder knowing that you have a target on your back. Someone was going to go home and you know that it's going to come down to just a few seconds.
FEAR FACTOR: Talk me through the stunt.
AMIRAH: The smell was out of control. We could smell it from five feet away. And then when he blended it up, it really just reeked of throw up. It just smelled like something you've never smelled before that should not be eaten. It was like a skunk or something.
ANDRE: I've eaten a lot of different foods in different countries, but this was my first experience with something like this. And it was just incredible.
AMIRAH: So then that kind of psyched us out. How can we do this fast?
ANDRE: But then again I said, "Everybody else has to do it, it's not like we're the only ones."
FEAR FACTOR: What was it like getting slung off the roof?
ANDRE: When we started drinking the shake I wasn't even thinking about that. It wasn't until I finished that it even crossed my mind that I was going to go flying off a building. I was a little nervous but I love that kind of stuff. It was very exhilarating just floating in air.
