GROSS DUNK TANK

What else would you expect from a Fear Factor Carnival besides a dunk tank overflowing with cow stomachs, intestines and tongues? Fear Factor couples contestants Todd Kinsler and Rachael Hughes explain what they had to endure and just how gross it was.

FEAR FACTOR: What was the Gross Dunk Tank stunt?

TODD KINSLER: It's a dunk tank where one person would sit on the tank, and they would drop into a tank full of cow parts. The skin, the spleen, the stomach, the tongue, the tail. Everything.

RACHAEL HUGHES: It was actually worse than I thought it would be, and it took some talent on both ends.

TODD KINSLER: The goal of the stunt was pretty much to get the person in the tank, and they have to go in the tank and grab five cow tails, hand it to the person outside. The person outside can't use their hands, so they have to put it in their mouth, run to the bucket, and toss it in the bucket, and then run back.

FEAR FACTOR: How did you decide who would throw and who would get dunked in the tank?

RACHAEL HUGHES: Todd's a much better accurate thrower than I am, so we knew he was gonna throw.

TODD KINSLER: I've seen her throw, and it's not pretty.

RACHAEL HUGHES: I was sort'a worried about hittin' the camera. But I knew if once I got into that tank, 'cause I would've been grossed out, I would go under and just find it and find it.

FEAR FACTOR: Did you have a strategy for finding the cow tails?

RACHAEL HUGHES: When I was going down, I was digging all the parts up and lifting 'em up, and then I was going through and looking for the cow tail.

TODD KINSLER: You couldn't see underwater. It was so milky. It was so thick that you just can't see. So she just grabbed everything, came up to the surface, looked at it, there's no cow tail, she dropped it.

FEAR FACTOR: Who got the grossest after the stunt?

RACHAEL HUGHES: I was disgusting. Like, in my bra, in my bikini bottoms there was just so much fat. And in my hair. And for some reason, the stuff does not want to come out with soap, it does not want to come out with shampoo, it does not want to come out with conditioner. After these stunts, it takes hours and hours of being in the shower, and you still smell.

TODD KINSLER: You don't really notice it once you're in it.

RACHAEL HUGHES: I noticed it.
