STUNT: CRAB DUMP ESCAPE
LOCATION: FERIGNO BOY, SAN PEDRO HARBOUR
DESCRIPTION: Contestants are placed in a tank filled with hundreds of Dungeness crabs. As the tank continues to fill with both water and more crab, the contestants must retrieve lids off the bottom of the tank that will stop the flow. The couple that takes the greatest amount of time to complete the task will be eliminated.
FEAR FACT
- In order to keep the crabs healthy and active the temperature of the water inside the tank was kept at a chilly 55 degrees.
- Over 500 hundred Dungeness Crabs were used for the actual stunt.
- Dungeness crabs are widely distributed from Central California to the Gulf of Alaska and prefer a sandy or muddy bottom in salt water.
