THE FEAR FACTOR FILE
STUNT: MEAT LOCKER ESCAPE
LOCATION: ABANDONED MEAT PACKING PLANT, LOS ANGELES, CA
DESCRIPTION: Contestants are tied-up with duct tape on the floor of a meat locker. Working together, they will have to free themselves by biting through their partner’s restraints. Once freed the contestants will each separately dunk head first into one of two fifty-five gallon barrels filled with fat and cow parts in order to retrieve wrenches that will release the keys to the meat locker from the center of a ten-foot ice tunnel.
FEAR FACT
- The method for taping up the contestants was exhaustively researched in order to find a proper way of restraining the contestants without making it impossible to escape.
- A special ice truck was used to grind large ice blocks and fill the tunnels before each stunt.
- The floor of the meat locker is covered over a 1000lbs of cow livers, spleens, intestines and jaws.
