STUNT: SAND CRAB PANNING
LOCATION: SYCAMORE STATE BEACH, CA
DESCRIPTION: Contestants must free themselves from a set of shackles by spinning around a post before running into heavy surf to retrieve a sea chest filled with live sand crabs that they must then eat.
FEAR FACT
- Sand crabs are used as bait by fishermen and are a delicacy amongst seagulls.
- The size of the shore break on the day of the shoot was estimated to be over five feet.
- Contestants had to make forty full rotations in order to free them from the post.
