THE FEAR FACTOR FILE
STUNT: GROSS BLOW TUBE
LOCATION: DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, CA
DESCRIPTION: Contestants must suck-up a blended concoction of roaches, fish heads and giant beetles and spit the nastiness through a tube and into their partner's mouth. Their partner must then transfer the gross fluid into a container filling it to a predetermined point.
FEAR FACT
- Over the years Fear Factor has had to specially modify several blenders to blend tough disgusting food items such as the boney fish heads used in this stunt.
- Lobster Roaches are from East Africa and are one of the few roaches that have the ability to climb slick surfaces such as glass.
- In order to determine how much gross fluid the contestants would have to transfer, the brave Fear Factor staff members had to perform the same stunt several times both in the office and on set.
BEHIND THE SCENES PRODUCTION PHOTOS

Lobster roaches are the fastest roach in the Fear Factor arsenal making them extremely difficult to contain on set.

Focusing on the $50,000, contestants slurp up the blended mess like it was a milk shake.

The camera department's Rich Sandoval and Rich Asprec work together to rig POV cameras that will go where no cameraman ever would.
