BEHIND THE SCENES PRODUCTION PHOTOS
- Native Americans call the potato bug “Who-Tzi-Neh” which translated into English means ‘old bald headed man'.
- Although some believe the Potato Bug to be poisonous, these nocturnal crickets are actually non-aggressive and possess no poison glands, although their powerful jaws can inflict a painful bite.
- Potato bugs live underground and can be found across the western United States and Mexico.

Another late night for the hardworking lighting crew. Note the boxes of Potatoes in the background.
Like something out of a nightmare, the potato bug tastes as disgusting as it looks.
