Season 11

SEASON 11 SYNOPSIS Trying to evade gunfire, Pratt crashes his car into the river. Although all three passengers are pulled out of the drink, only Pratt and Chen survive, albeit with serious injuries. Abby begins her internship along with Howard Ritzke and charming Ray Barnett. Sam calls Luka from a motel; he professes his love and invites her to move in with him. Now chief of staff, Weaver gains full custody of her son. Carter and Kem bury theirs. Despite Carter's marriage proposal, Kem leaves, prompting Carter to fall off the wagon and go to work drunk. After a slip of the tongue, the nurses freeze out Abby as she tends to a sex slave.

Elizabeth confronts Weaver over the hire of new OR attending, Dr. Lucien Dubenko, who refuses to perform an illegal procedure between two HIV+ patients. Carter convinces Elizabeth to do it, which results in big trouble. Rather than face the loss of her license, Elizabeth quits and returns to England. After looking for jobs for a day, Neela starts work across the street at the Jumbo Mart. Pratt returns to work without having fully recovered from his craniotomy. As new head of the ER, Susan offers Neela an internship when Howard quits because of his OCD. On her first day, Pratt sets the interns to competing for high patient load, prompting Ray to screw up. Carter pursues new social worker Wendell Meade.
