David Zabel is currently executive producer/showrunner of NBC’s hit drama “ER" as the show enters its 13th season. Zabel joined the show in season eight (2001-2002) as an executive storywriter and later that season was made co-executive producer. Midway through season 11 (2004-2005), Zabel was named executive producer.
Zabel graduated from Princeton University in 1988 and NYU/Tisch School of the Arts' Graduate Acting Program in 1992. His television writing credits include “JAG,” “Star Trek: Voyager” and “Dark Angel.” His feature-film screenwriting credits include the soon-to-be-released “Keith” and an adaptation of “The Napoleon of Crime” for Warner Brothers.
