Hope Williams Brady played by Kristian Alfonso

Hope Alice Williams has been surrounded by drama since her mother, Addie, pushed her baby carriage out of the path of a speeding car. Hope was saved, but her mother was killed. Growing up without her mother gave Hope a stubborn streak that years at boarding school cannot tame. She met her match when she fell for handsome Bo Brady. Bo & Hope's romance is legendary. From tracking down international terrorists to their fairytale wedding. After the birth of their son, Shawn Douglas, Bo & Hope sailed the world in their boat, "Fancy Face." Upon their return to Salem, more danger ensued but somehow their relationship kept surviving against all odds. She and Bo worked together at the Salem PD, but after a suspension Hope briefly enjoyed a modeling career.

For a while, everyone believed Hope was really Princess Gina Von Amberg because of their undeniable resemblance. However, Stefano DiMera's brainwashing was to blame for Hope's "Gina" memories. Bo & Hope also survived the kidnapping and baby switch of their son JT. Soon after, their son Shawn was accused of murdering Colin Murphy at a New Year's Eve party. Eventually, she rejoined the police force with Bo to help try to capture the Salem Stalker. Not only did they catch her (Marlena Evans), but they also helped reveal that none of the stalker's victims were actually dead.

Bo and Billie learned that the daughter they had and believed was stillborn was actually still alive. The two got closer as they searched for her, and Hope became suspicious. Fortunately, Bo remained faithful to her and he and Billie discovered their daughter was living in Salem and was actually Chelsea, Abby Devereux's best friend!

Then one night, Hope and Bo's son, Zack, was killed by a hit-and-run driver. Though horribly devastated, they agreed to donate Zack's organs to save ailing Baby Claire. In her grief, Hope pushed Bo away and grew closer to Patrick Lockhart.

Bo learned that Chelsea was the one driving the car that hit Zack, but agreed to keep it secret from everyone - including Hope - so his daughter wouldn't go to jail. When Hope found out, she kicked Bo out of the house and asked for a divorce by email. Meddling Chelsea responded to the email, pretending to be Bo, and agreed to the divorce. Heartbroken, Hope threw her wedding ring into the ocean, and made love to Patrick. Bo, meanwhile, turned to Billie. Bo and Hope were still drawn to each other, though. Chelsea was given a light sentence thanks to Kate's scheming and Hope swore she would never forgive Bo for covering up Chelsea's crime.

Hope soon learned she was pregnant, and a test revealed that Patrick was the father. Bo was determined to stand by her no matter what, but Hope wanted a divorce. The two would later try to reconcile. Chelsea continued to meddle and sent Hope a picture of Bo and Billie in bed together. When Bo learned what Chelsea had done, he told her he wanted nothing to do with her.

Patrick was found not guilty of murdering the shady cop, Eve, and quickly resumed his pursuit of Hope. Bo was determined to prove Patrick's guilt. After a showdown with Bo, Patrick confessed his crimes and a panicked Hope went into labor. Bo also found out that the baby girl was his, not Patrick's. They named her Ciara Alice Brady.

Later on down the road, Hope told Bo she wanted to investigate the age-old Brady-DiMera feud. With the help of her father, Doug, and stepmother, Julie, they translated old letters, which led them to search the tunnels under Doug's old club. Hope and Bo found the presumed-dead Lexie, who was being held captive in the tunnels. More letters exposed a story of an affair between Grandpa Shawn's sister, Colleen, and Stefano's father, Santo, decades ago in Ireland.

Bo and Hope traveled to Ireland looking for clues, and were threatened by the renegade Andre DiMera. When they returned to Salem, Andre kidnapped Roman and tried to kidnap Hope as well, but Bo came to the rescue. Roman was also later saved, but there were other victims of the feud. Hope and Bo's close friend, John Black, was the victim of a hit and run, and died of his injuries.

Sami had agreed to marry EJ to try and end the feud, but EJ was shot at the church. Hope helped Bo track down the shooter's gun, and she told Bo she intended to rejoin the police department.

She and Bo traveled to Ireland with various Brady family members and John Black (whom they had discovered was really alive), hoping to put an end to the DiMera/Brady feud.

On the way home from their exhausting and poignant trip, the plane was sabotaged, and the pilots poisoned. John and Steve struggled to try and land the plane, and the rest suffered as the cabin pressure dropped. When it turned out Bo's oxygen mask was broken, Grandpa Shawn bravely gave his mask to Bo. An ailing Bo protested, fearing he was going to die either way. As Bo passed out, Grandpa Shawn insisted that Hope use the mask for Bo. She did as Shawn said, and the Brady patriarch died right before the plane crashed.

After the group was rescued and returned home, Bo's condition worsened and his guilt over his father's death made him all the worse. His family and friends rallied by his side, and biological father, Victor, brought in specialist Daniel Jonas to treat him. A risky partial pancreas treatment was Bo's only hope, and donor match Chelsea bravely agreed to undergo the dangerous surgery in order to save her father. The operation was successful, and both father and daughter recovered.

As Bo lay in his hospital bed healing, Hope was kidnapped by Ava Vitali, the woman Steve had seen in Ireland. Ava believed Hope was Kayla, and whisked her away to the Vitali family compound a few cities over. Steve attempted to rescue her, but was also held hostage. Ava was the daughter of a powerful mafioso, and during the time Steve lost his memory and was presumed dead by all in Salem, Ava and Steve had had an affair. (Steve had managed to escape from Stefano.) They had planned to wed, but Steve disappeared on their wedding day. Ava believed he'd left her and had a mental breakdown. After so many years, she was finally about to track down Steve and followed him to Ireland. Ava confessed that she had been behind the sabotage of John's plane, but that she had only wanted to ground it so she could talk to Steve, not crash it. Ava wanted Steve to leave Kayla and reunite with her, and Steve and Hope were forced to play along until they could figure out how escape.

The Salem Police Department eventually arrived at the compound and rescued Hope and Steve, and Ava was arrested.

Hope is now back with the Salem Police Department, as is Bo. They are teaming up with work and family duties, and hopefully their incredible love will help see them through.
