Victim One
Name: "John Doe"
Gender: M Age: 25
Location of Body: 1300 Block, Palmer Street, near dumpster; however, drag marks indicate body was relocated to that area post-mortem.
Time of death: Liver temp determined TOD as midnight
Cause of death: possible beating
Physical Evidence:
- Obvious bruises/blood on face
- Criss-cross pattern of scratches on victim's lower legs; most likely from weeds/shrubs
- Deep laceration on victim's shin.
- Victim had two broken knuckles
- Large oblong bruises on neck and torso, consistent with boot prints/kicking.
- Two carpet fibers found on body
- Black substance on soles of victim's feet
Analysis/Lab Work
- Fingerprint/lip print analysis
- Carpet fibers indicate body was transported in trunk of car
- Fiber dye (TM639) only found in Chrysler 5th Avenue, years 85-87.
- Lividity indicates body was in trunk a short time
- Boot imprints on body traced to Everwear 580 steel-toed workboots, size 13
- Shin laceration consistent with thin blade-like weapon.
- Black substance determined to be liquid asphalt; traced to construction location
- Lab results match victim's blood to that found on suspects car (Chrysler).
- Victim's stomach contents revealed an insect in addition to, apples, berries, tree bark
- Insect identified as Japanese ladybird beetle (pseudoscymnus tsugae) indigenous to Japan.
- Victim's rounded profile, zygomatics, shovelshaped incisors consistent with Native American characteristics
- Liver damage related to Leptospirosis (bacterial infection)
- Blood analysis revealed presence of Mathylpyrrolidone, an industrial solvent.
Conclusions: Shin laceration determined to be from tripwire. Victim determined to be Central American illegal alien, lived in wild in captivity. Victim, Juan Gonzales, native of Guatemala.
Victim Two
Name: Kevin Strahan
Gender: M Age: 30's
Location of Body: abandoned vehicle in park.
Time of death: undetermined
Cause of death: gunshot wound to temple
Physical Evidence:
- Powder burns indicating close range, straight on impact
- Blood alcohol level of victim, point three one. (three times higher than legal limit)
- Bullet 1 recovered from scene.
- Bullet 2 retrieved from victim's head
- Gunshot residue covering interior of vehicle
Analysis/Lab Work:
- Bullet 1 found to be .380, fired from a Beretta.
- Blood alcohol level of victim, point three one.
Conclusions: Victim was murdered.
