Episode #203 - "The Truth is Out There"
Victim One
Name: Clive Harris Alpert
Gender: M Age: mid-70's
Location of Body: Total-Mart, Furniture Department
Physical Evidence:
- 90% blockage of coronary artery
- Hemorrhage to left ventricle.
- Two-inch wide, patch-shaped scar on inside of upper arm, consistent with tattoo removal; UV examination of scarred area revealed Gothic letter "O"
Other Anaylsis:
- Enzyme analysis revealed unusually high triponine stats
- Facial recognition program links victim to Nazi war criminal database.
- Gas chromatograph
- Credit card analysis/de-encryption revealed hidden "third track" of information on vic's Total-Mart card. 18 names, social security numbers and bank accounts recovered, including victim's.
Conclusions: Tattoo common to officers in the Waffen SS.
Case File/Rexamination
Name: Diane Clark
Gender: F
Original Findings: Heroin overdose.
Time of original autopsy: July 18th, 1999
Attending M.E.: Garret Macy
Rexamination performed by Dr. Elaine Duchamps.
Result:
- Lack of "Y" incision on corpse inconsistent with original overdose diagnosis; no way to determine pulmonary edema commonly associated with overdose if no incision was made.
- Birthmark on stomach
- Tissue analysis confirmed heroin overdose.
Conclusions: Although initial autopsy was not completed to departmental standards, resulting diagnosis was accurate.
