Ravi Kapoor
as “Bug”
Born in Liverpool, England, Kapoor spent three years at the East 15 Drama School in London and 10 years of professional work in England doing a mix of theater, television and film before he relocating to Los Angeles with his wife, actress Meera Simhan.

Among Kapoor's television credits are the British miniseries "Peacock Spring," "Blood & Peaches" and the critically acclaimed "Land of Plenty," which also aired on BBC America. He was also featured in the British independent feature "Wild West," a film about a Pakistani country-western band looking to make it to Nashville.

Kapoor's theater credits include the Los Angeles production of "Rice Boy" at the Mark Taper Forum. He also wrote and directed the play .Oh Sweet Sita. with productions in London and Toronto. Kapoor's newest play "Prince of Delhi Place" will be produced in New York in the fall of 2008.

Following the actor's move to the United States, Kapoor worked with a touring children's theater company performing classical plays. Before playing Bug, the moody medical examiner on "Crossing Jordan," the actor portrayed a second-year medical resident on the series "Gideon's Crossing."

Kapoor is a member of the annual Artwallah Festival in Los Angeles, which showcases South Asian talent in film, literature, drama, music and the visual arts.

Though his character has an obsessive interest in entomology, the study of insects, Kapoor says he is not much of a hobbyist. His passions are acting and reading.

The actor currently resides in Los Angeles. His birthday is June 27.
