Actor Antonio Sabato Jr. currently stars on NBC's daring new cirque reality show "Celebrity Circus."
Sabato Jr. grew up in Rome and his first language is Italian. He didn't learn to speak English until he moved to Beverly Hills in 1984 with his mom and sister. His big break came when he was cast in the infamous Janet Jackson video "Love Will Never Do Without You."
Beginning his career as Jagger Cates on "General Hospital," Sabato Jr. has proven to be one of the hottest commodities to come out of daytime television, nabbing a series of prime-time roles and modeling in the most successful Calvin Klein underwear campaign in the company's history.
Antonio was most recently seen starring in the movies "Ghost Voyage" for the SciFi Channel and "Destination: Infestation" opposite Jessalyn Gilsig. Previously, Sabato Jr. also starred in "The Bold and the Beautiful," "Melrose Place," "The Big Hit," "The Help," "Ally McBeal" and "Charmed." In 2007 he was seen on the big screen in the independent thriller "Mysterious," co-starring James Brolin.
In 1992 Antonio landed a coveted spot in People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People issue. Fashion designer Calvin Klein then hired the actor in the summer of 1996 to be the company's first celebrity model since Mark Wahlberg four years earlier. During his tenure with Calvin Klein, Sabato Jr. appeared in a campaign on a 90-foot billboard in the middle of Times Square.
In addition to acting and modeling, Sabato Jr. is also an accomplished author; his "No Excuses: Workout for Life" was published in 1999 and quickly became a best-selling exercise book.
Antonio currently resides in Los Angeles. He is a fitness and auto-racing enthusiast. He enjoys spending time with his son, Jack, and daughter, Mina.
