Stacy Horn Koch - Working Mom

Stacy Horn Koch is the mother of a 19 year old who attends Georgia Tech and a 2 year old still in diapers. In addition to being a loving and wonderful mother to her own two boys, Stacy is the Executive Director of Covenant House New Orleans.

The goal of Covenant House New Orleans is to offer at-risk youth the opportunity and the tools they need to build healthy, independent and productive lives. In order for anyone to reach their full potential, they must first have a supportive and safe environment to live and grow. CH provides that shelter for kids, ages 16-21 and their children so that they may begin their journey toward a successful future.

Stacy definitely sees the kids that stay at Covenant House as has own children. She has hopes and dreams for their futures just as she does for her own kids.

Stacy is also spearheading a special project called the Qatar/Treme Lafitte Renewal Project, LLC The Treme Community Revival Project is a project funded in total by the people of Qatar for victims of Katrina who resided prior to Katrina in the Treme Community. The project is administered by the local non-profit, Qatar Treme/Lafitte Renewal Project, LLC. A limited number of eligible houses in the project area will be selected for repairs, drywall, sub-flooring, electrical and plumbing work, air conditioning/heating systems and carpentry as necessary to achieve a Certificate of occupancy.

Stacy is fierce in her love and loyalty to her family, her work and her city. She does everything in her power to make sure her kids are healthy and happy. And this means all of her kids, both her own boys and the kids at Covenant House.
