Caribbean Mom to Many
I am the only child (that was true 5 years ago), now I share my Mom's love with the poor and orphanged children of Haiti. My Mom quit her job of 25 years in 2003, to live full time in Les Cayes, Haiti, West Indies to run an orphanage and adopt children to the States. Nora is also a hero to many Haitian children by teaming the deathly ill children with Healing the Children. The Haiti children refer to her as their "blanc" Mama. She loves each and every one of those children as if they were her own. She tries to adopt as many children as she can into Christian homes. She also helps form new lifes for many children who would die without her petitions to Healing The Children.

Thanks to her love, dozens of children have been adopted to the States and several children have received life saving surgeries and now are able to live long healthy lives. With each child she adopts and each child she assists with the Healing the Children she will try to transport as many of these children that she can from Haiti to the States (which makes the transition easier for the children), she will visit them in the States whenever she can, and definetly stay in touch with them forever. She is a Mom forever!!! She helped to form the "Carribean Children's Foundation" a non profit orginization that allows people to make tax deductible donations to the orphange and school. My Mom is the most caring loving individual I know. She devotes all of her waking hours to helping others not only in Haiti but also here in the States. By that I mean...she provides people the oppurtunity to have children that normally would not be able to. I am blessed to have my Mom...and desire to be like her. In addition to being great with the children of Haiti, she is fantastic to me and my children. Please give my Mom this award....she is the most deserving Mom I know!!! I Love You Mom!!! By the way...any money she wins in this contest she is giving it to Haiti to touch more people.
