John swung out and quickly got stuck
in the middle of the rings. JUSTICE
flew towards him and grabbed at
John’s ring. As soon as Justice touched
his ring, John fell off into the water.
Gerry took some powerful swings but
then crashed into JUSTICE. Justice
kicked at Gerry who ended up hanging
by 1 ring. Justice reached for Gerry’s
wrist and sent him into the water.
John scored on his first launch against
WOLF and TITAN. He slammed
into Titan and missed several shots. He
said with a smile, “That was physical, I
think my leg got stuck in the net.”
Yellow- 1, Red- 0, Total- 1 point
Gerry also got a basket on his first try.
WOLF tussled with him a few times
while TITAN was busy working over
John. Gerry made a red basket right
before the buzzer.
Yellow- 1, Red- 2, Total- 5 points.
John was taken down early & limped a
bit afterwards. TITAN pushed him
into the wall & helped him get back up.
John avoided TOA & scored. He used
Gerry to distract the Gladiators to break
away but time ran out. MILITIA and
the other gladiators hugged him as he
said, “This is an amazing experience.”
Gerry tried to fake out the gladiators
but was put down. TOA &
MILITIA rolled him into the wall
and TOA playfully smacked him on
the back of the head. Then Militia
crashed into him once again as
TITAN prevented him from scoring
any points. 0pts.
John had a shorter, custom-made leg
for this event. He was doing very well
as WOLF climbed beside him. He
struggled with his footing and ended up
under the gladiator. Wolf grabbed John
by the top of his shirt and dropped him
into the water at 57 seconds.
Starting at the base of the wall gave
Gerry a good lead. He was halfway up
by the 2nd whistle. He jumped when
ROCKET nipped at his heels. But
Rocket grabbed one of his ankles and
he flew head first down to the water
after 30 seconds. 0pts.
John had a very inspirational race. He
was close to Gerry until the cargo net
where he got caught. He took his time
before each obstacle and everyone
cheered him on. John had a bad fall at
the bottom of the log and crawled
across the seesaw. He made several
attempts up the travelator. He made it
to the top when the track stopped. He
told everyone at home: “[Whatever the
challenge,] There is no excuse ... You
can finish the eliminator with one leg.”
Gerry had a 1.5 second head start. He
came up for air between the fire pits.
He performed well on most of the
obstacles until he fell face first off the
zip line & slipped off the seesaw.
Gerry grabbed the rope on the
travelator but slipped off at the top.
He made it up a few attempts later,
crossed the finish line, and cheered for
John who had just made it up the
