Here's a couple of art pieces I wish I owned. Both are from Coney Island.
The snake girl. I'm not saying she's bad lookin. But beautiful is overstating it a little. She looks a little dude-ish in the painting. A little too teen-Tarzan for me. I'm diggin' the body though. The exhibit did not live up to the painting. I think it was 50 cents to have a look at the snake woman, but you look through plexi-glass, don't have a good view, the snake girl is barely visible, and she's a complete fake. But the painting here is really cool. Wish I owned it.
This pic is a ride at Coney Island. The city is talking about completely renovating Coney Island, and I hope they don't 'cause they'll probably lose places like this. The bloody head coming out of a giant tongue of an upside down monster is is just really cool. And the whole thing is huge. Wish I owned this and it could fit in my apartment. Even if I wrote 50 sketches a day for Liz, I don't think I'd make enough money to be able to buy a place big enough for this to fit. Maybe if I move 2 hours away to the boonies I could build a big warehouse and live in it with all my bad art. But then I'd be commuting 4 hours a day just to write for TGS. But, if I was able to do my writing while commuting, it could work. But gas is too much now anyway, so for now, forget it. I'll just keep looking at this photo and fantasizing. Uh oh. My senses are telling me Liz is about to come into my office and yell at me to get back to work.
Talk soon!
Frank
